I’m all for people being comfortable in their skin. When you feel good, your at peace with circumstance, and that definitely ties in with your physical appearance a lot of the time. I’m not against cosmetic surgery anymore than I’m against the body builders who spend 3 hours a day in my gym, we’re all looking out for ourselves…..
no. because people have imperfections, its just part of life. people need to accept that. a lot of times people look worse after plastic surgery too. i just think its a bad idea and if i were a man, i wouldnt want my wife/girlfriend to have a fake appearance. it also makes you look superficial and insecure if you get cosmetic surgery.
It would increase someone’s mental health if they have a better image of themself every time they look into the mirror. Some people sure could use it. Lots of people who spend their lives in front of a camera do because it is important for their careers that they present a wrinkle free image. That would be cool if there was a deductable amount from health insurance. I’d vote for a bill sponsoring it.
Unless it’s reconstructive surgery, I don’t think anyone should have cosmetic surgery. I don’t lecture those who do. I do believe in the freedom of choice, but I’ll never get plastic surgery no matter how much I don’t like something about my body. I think it takes more strength to accept yourself rather than to change something you don’t like. I would rather be the stronger person.

If they feel like it, why not.

Yes. If it helps you reach your goal ( career, social, self esteem ) then I say go for it.
