It’s pretty much the same here in Ireland. Caveat emptor!

I realise that, I should have highlighted ‘ANY’ in my comment above. I thought there was at least one teaching hospital in Britain, remember seeing a programme on Discovery Channel? My idea was that one should look for a practitioner certification from one of these hospitals. Otherwise it’s just a shot in the dark.

In England, it seems at any rate, that ANYONE can set themselves up in the cosmetic medicine industry.

This has actually happened to a friend of mine. The stress caused and later the embarrassment of attending another doctor to rectify the problem is really acute.

I think not – that’s what the discussion is about. It’s frightening to think that one can attend a doctor, believing them qualified in the field, and later find they have little or no experience.

I’m glad you’ve highlighted this problem. Are there any teaching hospitals for cosmetic surgeons in Britain or Ireland.?
