Your dog is 9 yrs old. She still has maybe a few good years left to go. If you don’t get surgery, she will go blind. At what rate, I don’t know. Get another vets opinion or if there is a college that specializes in Veterinary Medicine near you, make an appt and go there.

You need to go to another vet they usually remove cataracts…….

Did you vet not offer steroid eye drops as an alternative? If he did not mention it you need to get a new vet!!!!
